DOCUMENTS
What documents should you prepare to sell a Terra claim?
Start with your claim reference, latest notice, status and amount. Keep records of ownership, prior assignments and any payments for later review. This is a Terraloss preparation checklist, not a court-prescribed list of documents required for every sale.
Before you go further
- The first Terraloss form asks for information, not document uploads.
- Label a filed amount separately from an allowed amount.
- Agree on the recipient and delivery method before sending identity records.
For the first enquiry
Our offer form starts with an amount and status, followed by contact details. You can add context in the optional note. If there is no reliable amount to enter, use the question option instead.
Keep the following facts handy. You do not need to put every detail into the initial message.
| Information | What to check |
|---|---|
| Claim reference | The reference on your official claim record or notice. |
| Latest status | Which notice states it, and when it was issued. |
| Amount | Whether it is a filed amount or the amount in a determination. |
| Previous payments or assignments | Dates, amounts and which rights may already have been transferred. |
| Your question | For example, price, pending review or a payment difficulty. |
For a later ownership and terms review
The exact requirements need to be confirmed for the proposed transaction. Depending on the claimant and the records, a purchaser may ask for the determination, evidence of ownership, records of earlier transfers or payments, and authority to sign for an entity or another person.
Keep originals. A buyer’s request for evidence is separate from the official claim process. Supplying information to a buyer does not satisfy an administrator’s request for documents.
Before sending sensitive documents
Ask who will receive the material, why it is needed, how to deliver it and how it will be handled. Check the recipient through a channel you independently trust, particularly if payment instructions or email addresses have changed.
- Do not send a seed phrase, private key or portal password.
- Avoid posting full claim records in a public social-media reply.
- Confirm whether a redacted copy is sufficient for the current stage.
- Keep a record of what you sent, when and to whom.
If a document or amount is missing
Check your official claim record and notices first. Explain what you do have rather than inventing a status or treating a token balance as a determined claim amount.
You can ask Terraloss a question without an amount. That enquiry does not reconstruct a missing filing or resolve a determination dispute; procedural questions belong with the official claims service.
Related questions
Do I need to upload ID to get started?
The initial Terraloss forms have no document upload. Any later identity or authority checks should be explained before you send documents.
Can I use my original investment amount?
Identify the number accurately. An original investment, a filed claim amount and an allowed amount can differ. Do not label one as another to request a price.
