CLAIM BASICS

LUNA or UST losses: do you have a Terra claim you can sell?

THE SHORT ANSWER

A loss on LUNA or UST, a submitted Crypto Loss Claim and an allowed bankruptcy claim are different things. A token balance alone does not establish a claim that can be priced for sale. Check whether you filed and what your latest determination says before asking for a purchase offer.

Before you go further

  • Terraloss reviews claim rights; it does not swap your LUNA or UST tokens.
  • The amount you invested may differ from the amount recognized in the claim process.
  • Asking a buyer for a quote does not file or reopen a bankruptcy claim.

Three things that are easy to confuse

Tokens, a filing and a determination
What you haveWhat it tells youWhat it does not establish
A token balance or trading-loss recordYour holdings or transaction history. That a Crypto Loss Claim was filed and allowed.
A submitted Crypto Loss ClaimThat information was submitted into the claims process. That every dollar claimed has been allowed.
A claim determinationThe status and amount determined, with the applicable instructions.A purchase price or a guaranteed estate payout.

If you filed a claim

Start from claims.terra.money and review your latest notice. Identify the claimant, reference, amount, status and any action requested. A buyer needs to understand which rights you hold, including any rights already assigned.

If the determination is still under review or you disagree with it, describe that accurately. Follow the instructions and deadlines in the official process; a sale enquiry is not a dispute or an objection.

If you never filed or cannot find a filing

The SEC’s investor information records a filing deadline of 16 May 2025 at 11:59 p.m. prevailing Eastern Time. A later status notice, filed on 13 August 2025, states that the submission portal closed at that deadline.

Those are historical filing facts, not a claim that a new window is open. Check current official notices and seek case-specific guidance if you are unsure about your position. Terraloss cannot file a claim or reopen the process through its enquiry form.

What we would be reviewing for a purchase

The starting point is the claim record and the rights you could sell, not today’s market value of a token holding. Where an amount exists, label it as filed or determined and disclose previous payments or transfers.

If you are not sure what your records show, send a question first. Do not invent an allowed amount to make the offer calculator produce a number.

Related questions

Will selling my LUNA tokens sell my bankruptcy claim?

Do not treat them as the same transaction. A token trade and a contractual sale of claim rights concern different assets. Identify the rights expressly in any proposed claim sale.

Can Terraloss recover my original investment automatically?

No. An enquiry is a request to review possible claim rights for purchase. It does not establish eligibility, create an allowed amount or guarantee a recovery.

Already have a claim amount and status? Ask about a purchase. If you are still identifying your claim, choose the question option.

A useful offer gives you three things to review:
The price. The rights. The payment terms.

An offer follows a review. Check the amount you would receive, any deductions, the rights included and when payment becomes due before accepting.
