CASE NOTES
Terraform Labs: the case facts behind the headlines
Claim determination, litigation and cash distribution are separate stages. A new court filing can matter to creditors without setting a payout amount or date. Read what the document changes before drawing conclusions about your claim.
What the administrator reports
The administrator’s website says approximately 16,640 Crypto Loss Claims were submitted and that initial determinations are being issued on a rolling basis. It also describes litigation against Jump defendants filed in December 2025 and Jane Street defendants filed in February 2026. These are the administrator’s reports; allegations in a complaint are not judicial findings.
Why a claimholder should care
Our interpretation: these developments are relevant to the recovery process, but the number of submitted claims does not establish a final allowed denominator. Similarly, a damages demand does not establish the proceeds that will ultimately be available.
A useful case note identifies the document, the event date, the change and any action needed from a creditor. It also states what is still unresolved. This overview is not an exhaustive docket review.
Where to verify the next update
Use the official Epiq docket for court filings and the claims portal for information specific to your claim. The administrator’s website provides additional updates and links to source materials.
Before relying on a date or a monetary figure, check the underlying document and whether a later filing changes it. We link sources so you can make that check yourself.
